Application of Behavioral Learning Theory in ICT Based Classrooms.

Leaning theories provides a pedagogical basis for understanding how our students are learning. Learning is the main focus in the field of educational psychology. Behavioural learning theories focus on behaviours that can be observed only.
Behaviourism is all about behaviour only and not about the cognitive thought processes of brain. Behaviorism deals with the consequences of behavior and those behaviors that can be rewarded or punished. Legendary psychologist such as Watson, Pavlov and Skinner has dominated this field. This theory also has lead to and will probably continue to lead to many useful applications in modern ICT based classrooms
When looked in to the future use of behavioural learning theory in classrooms, its principles can be used in ICT developed classrooms to make it more effective. Classrooms with computers or tablets need organization and management. Scheduling and rotation are an important aspect in such classrooms. Teachers need to plan ahead for student rotation in an efficient ways with less behviour problems and come up with effective the learning activities.
The behaviorist learning theory is very relevant in today’s online technology in the form of educational games, applications and tutorials that students can use to enhance and reinforce new learning and receive instant feedback. With this form of programmed instruction, any student who uses this tutorial are shown a lesson either using visuals, animations or textual instruction, then are presented a series of questions. Based on their answers, students get either positive or negative reinforces.
